"The heart of our work is the people who need it most."
The people who truly matter to us are the families, communities, and individuals whose lives are shaped by the decisions made in government. Arthur’s commitment is first and foremost to Pacific peoples—those who have built their lives in New Zealand and across the Pacific region, often overcoming significant barriers. We are inspired by everyday citizens, elders, youth, and all who strive for dignity, equality, and opportunity. Your voices, your challenges, and your dreams are what drive Arthur’s work. Every policy, campaign, and advocacy effort is guided by a simple principle: people come first, and together, we can create a future where everyone belongs and thrives.

"Our strength lies in the diversity and resilience of our people."
For Arthur Anae, the people are the foundation of every effort he undertakes. His work is guided by a deep respect for the rich cultural heritage of the Pacific and a commitment to addressing the unique challenges faced by these communities. Arthur’s advocacy is multigenerational, focusing on the needs of elders, families, and young leaders alike.

Arthur also recognizes the importance of empowering the next generation. By fighting for policies that create opportunities and remove barriers, he ensures that young Pacific leaders have the resources and support they need to succeed. His work is a celebration of the resilience, creativity, and strength of Pacific communities, and he is committed to amplifying their voices on both national and international stages.
Through his work on initiatives like the Portability Pension Act, Arthur has ensured that Pacific Islanders who contributed to New Zealand’s economy can retire with dignity, even if they choose to live in their home countries. His efforts reflect his belief that the contributions of Pacific communities to New Zealand’s development should be acknowledged and respected.

"A stronger community begins with compassion, equity, and action."
Arthur Anae’s life has been a testament to his unwavering dedication to uplifting and empowering the communities he serves. From his early days in New Zealand to his groundbreaking political and advocacy work, Arthur has always placed people at the heart of his mission. His belief in fairness and justice drives his efforts to fight for those who are often overlooked or marginalized.
One of Arthur’s most notable contributions is his leadership in the Mau Sitiseni Mo Samoa Group, which he founded in 1997.
This advocacy group campaigned tirelessly for the recognition of Samoans born between May 13, 1924, and December 31, 1948, as New Zealand citizens. This was a fight to correct historical injustices and ensure these individuals were granted the rights they deserved. While the campaign achieved partial success in 2024, Arthur continues to push for full recognition and equity for all affected individuals.
Arthur’s work doesn’t stop at policies and laws—it’s about people. He believes that every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances, deserves the opportunity to thrive. His advocacy extends to pension rights for Pacific Islanders, ensuring they are treated fairly and with dignity, even if they choose to live outside of New Zealand. Arthur’s vision for the community is one of unity, equity, and progress, where no one is left behind.
