Arthur was born in Suva, Fiji on December 24, 1945, and raised with the rich traditions of Pacific life, Arthur Anae’s story is one of humble beginnings and remarkable achievements. He arrived in New Zealand at the age of 5 years old; and quickly demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit and a drive to serve traits that would later define his leadership. From his early days to becoming the first Pacific person in New Zealand’s Government, Anae’s journey is about breaking barriers and championing change. His lifelong commitment to empowering Pacific communities and fostering unity continues to inspire. As he often says, “Our beginnings do not limit us they prepare us to lead.”
